anyone who has ordered from Ikesound
I was wondering how long it took for them to ship your stuff. I ordered a JBL 1200.1 (hehehe
:lala: :hail: ) and it has been a week since I ordered it, and they haven't even shipped it yet. I ordered on Monday (the 21st I believe) around 5:30 to 6:00 PM. It says wait 5 business days, and isnt saturday a business day? I used a check card which is like a visa credit card so I would think that they would have shipped right away. Maybe Im just impatient
. Also, has anyone had to return to Ikesound. How does there warranty thing work? And how much does it cost? Anywayz, Thanx for the info!

Yeah, it seems that slow as hell shipping is SOP over there. It took them a month to ship the 6x9's that I bought on Ebay. Call them and bitch if you want, it might help.

yeah ikesound is a bit slow on processing. took them 2 days to process my order, then i had to fax them a copy of my drivers license and credit card (which seemed odd, but whatever) and then another 2 days processing until they shipped my order. i ordered a pair of 4x6's and a pair of 6x9's along with a head unit. the speakers came today, so thats 11 days later (4/19 - 4/30). thats pretty slow, but hey free shipping, and low prices...it was worth it. BTW my head unit was shipped seperatly (dono why) and thats coming tomorrow.

Thats what you get for buying JBL. j/k
Did they charge your credit card yet? I've noticed alot of online places taking longer then they used to to ship products.

Axle/Gears: Slow lol.
Sometimes using a checking/debit card, the processing will take some places as long as if you sent a check and they would be waiting for it to clear. I deal with that selling my tools. And they just are waiting to play it safe and make sure they get thier money I bet. If nothing happens next week though, get the address and go postal on them, lol.

You need to find a way to talk to a real person there. You said their 800 number was an answering machine, can you leave a message? Have you emailed them? Tried contacting them through ebay? I wouldn't go placing additional orders with them on the assumtion that you're card takes to long to clear.
I think we all get too dependant on the internet sometimes and forget the way we used to do things. Case in point, I ordered an LCD screen from etronics.com and after a couple of weeks of checking their website and seeing that my order was "processing" I finally picked up the phone and called. I had to wait on hold for 15-20 minutes, and when I finally was able to talk to somebody they told me that my order was backordered
and that they didn't know if/when they would get any in
Who knows if they would have ever contacted me about my order.
As far as ikesound, I didn't have any problems when I ordered a head unit from them. Not real sure on how long it took to process/ship tho.
I think most of these online stores are run by people who aren't good salespeople. If they were in a retail store they wouldn't sell anything because their customer service is so bad. The only reason they stay in business is that they fill a majority of the orders and their prices are far better than retail. I won't buy anything else from etronics after this last fiasco. I found a seller on ebay, who when I asked questions gave me a phone number to call so I could actually talk to him to ask questions. Then he took my order, gave me a discount over the ebay price, and shipped it the same day! 2 days later and I now have a screen with almost twice the resolution for the same price I paid at etronics. The moral of the story, find out in advance who you're dealing with and how to contact them if something goes wrong BEFORE you buy.
Hope everything works out for you! Joe

Ok, got the problem solved in 3 emails. I gave them the wrong damn card #
. GEEZE Im an IDIOT
. I feel so stupid! It was in the first 3 numbers too! I had a 4 and a 7 switched around. Sometimes I hate myself. It showed that they had tried to process my shipment the day after two times and it failed so they cancelled it...without telling me, of course. Oh well, I re-ordered, and we'll see what happens now. I rechecked the number 4 times, so it damn well better be right!
