Custom battery cable..
I posted this in the electronics board but didnt get much help.. So Im my problem here in hopes that someone here can help me...
Is there any place I can get a custom battery cable made up for a side terminal battery??? I did a search on tgo.org but couldnt find anything. Id prefer a battery cable that looks "clean"....meaning it doesnt look like a 2 year old made it. Long story short my postive cable for my 91 Firebird is no good..I "had" fusible links coming off of it ect ect and I cant find any part store that can sell me another one....and yes...GM stopped making the postive cable. Anyway..heres my idea. Tell me what you guys think. Im gonna run just a regular postive battery cable from the battery to the starter w/the additional small postive wire to the alternator. Now I was thinking of running a second postive wire right off the battery. Kinda like some of the GM 3.8 motors. They have two big wires coming off of the battery..one goes to the battery/alternator and the other goes to the what I can only call a "postive block." Sorry I dont know what to call it. I had a old Lumina minvan in work that was going to the bone yard so I cut the one wire that was going to the "postive block" and figured this would bring me one step closer to my set up. Anyway..all opinions are welcome...If you guys have a better idea for me I'll be more than willing to listen. Hopefully somebody out there can work with me (over the internet) and I can start making progress on my car.
Somebody sent me a link sounddomain.com in hopes that maybe they could help me. Electronics arent my strong point so Im wondering....could this help me??? http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/STRFBR24A This "looks" like what Im looking for...
Thanks in advance..

Painless sells something kinda like what you're looking for, I think. I had looked at them when I was considering adding a fuse block under the hood, cause I know what you mean, my bat has like 6 wires coming off of it, each with it's own fuse. The painless kit you basicly would just run a wire to it from the bat, like maybe 8 gauge, I don't remember right off hand. Then each of the old wires that had a fusible link on them would just each go into the new fuse block and then they have an easily replacable fuse. Sorry if I'm not making sense, I guess I'm sleepier than I thought.
