Anyone with knowledge of the delux Bose system, please come in.
Hello guys,
Well I have a complete Bose system, kick panels, trunk lid, COMPLETE and unhacked factory wiring harness for the speakers to connect to the radio.
My question is when I was pulling the harness out there was one orange wire with a clip to seperate it from the wiring harness, this orange wire led to a/the only relay on the wiring harness wich was positioned under the passenger side right above the hutch panel.
My question is that I am baffled as to what this orange wire isf or, I need to figure it out because it goes to a relay and since it's orange that must mean it's power to switch the relay over, but for what????
Any help with this situation will be GREATLY appreciated because that is the only obsticle I have to installing the system.
And how rare is the Bose system exactly?? I got a Beachwood tan setup to go with my beachwood tan int. How much better does it sound over the non bose system "dash & sail panel speakers." Either way i'm installing it.
P.S. has anyone figured out how to install after market speakers into the bose trunk lids, they can be the same size, I don't care abotu size, I just want to know if anyones been able to upgrade it.
Thanks guys.

I had the exact system in my car. I took it out and put in aftermarket stuff. It was a lot easier for my budget since the stock CD player didn't work. However, I imagine it would sound pretty well. If you want to get a new cd player, I wouldn't recommend it, because it's a b~tch to hook up.

I got it, I'm putting it in, I don't want deafening loudness and the ability to shatter my rear hatch with Bass. I just want something that will big me a little more bass and still be STOCK, I am a stickler for origionality, especially rare ones.
I am going to use a Sony head unit and a perefrial interface to hooke everythign up, should be easywork & I'll have an 8 speaker system. " 4x6's, 6x9's, the 4' kick panels and the 4' woofers in the back" and that will do the job just fine.
anyways I need to know, what is the orange wire for!
