Radio Pod

My cd player doesnt fit the HUGE space in my radio pod. There is so much extra room. What do I do? Because my previous cd player got stolen from my car and ripped everything out. Please help because my cd player shakes all over the place it's just sittin there so loose.

did you cut the bottom on the pod so the unit would fit all the down in the hole?

If you mean that you are using a standard size DIN CD player instead of the double that Chevrolet uses, then you need an installation kit. It will make the cd player fit snugly and will block off the exta space around the cd player. The kits can be gotten from Wal-mart, any auto parts store, or any electronics store that sells car sterios.

thank you very much. that help me out a lot. Thanks. I do have a regular size cd player, not the size chevy made. Thanks! So I can just take it to an audio store and they will install it for me and get rid of that extra space?

Or like mentioned before, hit the local stereo shop, auto parts house or electronics store, pick up a GM dash kit that fits F-bodies for around $10-15. Save yourself the outragous installation fee most places charge and do it yourself. Takes about 5-10 minutes. Pretty simple, especially if a wiring harness was used in the first place so you wont have to cut wires to get the radio in the dash kit. You just unplug it, but can also be done if the wiring harness on the radio is removeable.

Yup, it's easy, don't pay someone $9823798213 to do it, just take a few minutes and do it yourself ;-)
