Memphis amps suck

According to the guy I talked to last night. I work at a parts store, and there is an audio shop down the road that buys from us on occasion. Last night one of the guys comes in and I was asking him about what he can get. He's like I can get anything you want...so I ask about Memphis, he's like nah I cant get them. They are ****, they blow up and we get a lot of them back. He's like we have Audiobahn. Well I was thinking...if you cant even get them, how do you get comebacks from them??? I'm calling cause I've heard tons of good about Memphis amps!!

Everything that they don't sell sucks. It's called good salesmanship.

I wouldnt call it "great salesmanship" I'd call it more like a ****ing b/s feed that they give people. He could have been a bit more convincing. If he laid down some info on why, if he could make a case...then thats good salesmanship.

thats why jim and i were joking. its horrible practice to put down anything and everything you dont sell. however, if you can explain why one is better than the other, without necessarily putting down the competition, then you are on the path to being a good salesman.

Still this has me confused, lol. I'm wondering if they did at one time get them, but they didn't know jack about how to hook stuff up and burnt peoples stuff up or they over bought and under paid with thier Memphis supplier and got cut off. :nono: :sillylol:

Thats funny. I was in a audio store at the Topeka mall today lookin around and I overheard a guy ask the salesman if he had memphis stuff. The sales guy was like "na, I've got better...audiobahn." I kinda chuckled to myself and the salesguy asked what was so funny. I was like "nuthin, I'll just let ya sell your ****." Then I looked at the customer and said "you can pay for chrome or you can pay for power. I prefer power." and the dude said thanx for the tip and turned around and walked out. The salesman just kinda glared at me and I said "hey, I was just tellin it like it is." and the sales guy was like "ya, I know." and went back to his business and didnt say another word to me. Feel kinda bad bout ruinin his sale though :S.

From what I hear Memphis stuff is excellent. I heard some someone that it's actually underrated a little. And you can't bet a pair of 4x6s for 80 bucks with a lifetime warrenty.
