Cheapest place online to get dynomat?
Well, my interior has been missing for a few months now
and it is going to be time to put it back together again here real quick. Since I have a convertible I want to try to deaden as much sound as I possibly can, though I know it's a losing battle
Anyone know where I can get it relatively inexpensively? I want to do my entire car with it. Front to back.
Thanks
James

I think there are cheaper alternatives, brown bread is one and also I heard about roofing material thats almost identical to dynomat which is called peel and seal. The latter I have been trying to find in New York but have no such luck (sold in lowes but no Lowes in NY).

Axle/Gears: Slow lol.
If the car is really close to gutted completely, then you could go to your local Rhino Liner dealer and have them shoot the whole car inside. But it has to be STRIPPED to bare body pretty much and masked off really good.

I have had a friend that has used fatmat and it compleatly stopped rattling his car and sounded much better inside.

Parts Express has some stuff similar to Dynamat, just no name stamped on it to mark up the price, lol. Or a roll of the roofing tar stuff, not the felt paper(trust me, some people get confused on that, lol). I have used this method before, worked pretty good.

well, if your looking to not add weight, you're asking the wrong question. sound deadner works by adding mass to the panels its attached too, therefor stopping it from vibrating. just go to home depot/lowes and pick up Peel and Seal. around $1/sq ft and is the same as the rest of these. in the roofing or skylighting departments (depending on the store).

part of the deadening effect, other than adding weight, is the adhesive and rubber/asphalt layers also provide damping and absorption of sound/vibration.
anyway, what size does Peel and Seal come in? I've found some similar looking stuff at home depot, but they come in 4"x33' and 6"x16' rolls. is Peel & seal just an aluminum-backed asphalt paper?
these products seem to vary a lot in composition, thickness, etc., so i just want to know what i'm comparing against.
thanks
