I just called my local car audio shop and they have 40 amp fuses for 50 cents
but I really need to know if there is a more convenient (sp?) place to get one...

It can get alot more convenient thank you very much! It is "local" but it is still in the part of the county that I hardly ever goto.

Ya, it is kinda hard to find them. there are 3 of them in my JBL 1200.1. I have one in an old amp, if you want it, drop me an address and I'll send it to ya for free.

Radioshack usually cares some "odd" fuses. You can always order the fuses online from places like www.installer.com if you're like me and too lazy to go to the store.
