New Deck/Oops
When installing a new deck and forgetting to unplug the negative, what exactly would that blow? My car wont start, and the starter doesnt click... I dont know if it was that it might have been... if it was what else could I have blown?

The fuses are all good... The ignition wire to the starter isnt giving any power at all... he hot jumped the starter so I know thats good... but I dont know what could have caused that ignition wire to the starter to go... its not in any contact with the ignition wire to the deck is it?

if thats not it, then i dont know. i would suggest though that this be moved to the electrical board. they may be of more help then the audio board. good luck.

ahhh sounds stupid.. but....
did you try removing stereo to see if it will start? and you don't have any gadgets like a car starter or something that may be killing the power?

Yeah I took the deck out and everything... I am convinced now that it has to be some sort of coincedence... I have this problem posted in another part of the boards too...

well only thing to do know is to get a service manual and meter all the wires needed to start the car.. see what has 12volt all the time.. see what has it when key on, and when on start... anything that says it should have power but doesn't.. theres your wire... but boy that ain't gonna be fun..

Did you try disconecting the battery for a couple of minutes then hooking it back up?
This should reset the computer just in case it has some kind of auto protect.
