JBL BP600.1 or 1200.1 wiring

I got the amp in the mail today finnally...opened it up and look at it and now I am confused. It is a 600.1 single channel amp, yet it has front and rear inputs which is 4 channels. So I read the book and it said to use either one so that is ok. But then I look at the speaker hookups and there are 2 sets of those..WTF...I have 2 Kicker Comp VRs dual 4ohm VC models and want to have a 1ohm load on the amp. How do I need to wire this up?

it is common for some mono amps to have two sets of speaker outs, just use the outside two.

i may be mistaken but i think if you just hook the speakers up like you would if were a 2 channel amp, it would be wired in parrelel. i think they are internally bridged. dont hold me to it though. check it out somewhere. i am sure you can find some information on the net.

I bridged and then ran mine normally and there was no difference in sound. I dont think it matters how you wire them, they dont bridge or anything.

Those amps have two sets of outputs for one channel. It is a one channel (mono) amp, but it just gives you two pairs of outputs so that it is easier to wire up multiple speakers. If you have two subs and wire each to their own pair of outputs (+ - ) you'll have them wired in parallel.
