I know I know......It does not make the sound that my Panasonic Ghost face unit made, but I will sacrifice that for the clean, flush, stock look over the din,adapter,1" hanging out look!!!
I have the older style head unit with a remanufactured (plays CDRs) cd unit. It looks like the older cassette deck I used to have with the EQ on it. I love the way it looks.......I looked at some of the other models that had the scroll button type (no *****) and it did not look right.
The head unit sounds (scale 1-10 compared to Panasonic) at about a 7. I can still bounce the radar detector damn near off of the windshield though . I have found if you turn the unit all the way up, it turns itself back a notch to avoid any kind of distortion.
For what it is pushing ( JL 4's in the front, Pioneer 6x9's in the sails....soon to be Infinity , 2 Eclipse 10's, Sony 444 on the highs and a Sony 4 channel Sub amp on the 10's) I would say it sounds pretty good for stock radio. I will have pics soon...
