I just did it for my project and here is what I did. You need to go to radio shack and get a automotive grade relay:
http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...5Fid=275%2D226

I took a wire from the Battery(+) terminal of the amp, the Ground, and the remote turn on wire and ran those three into the relay in their respective locations and then the positive and negative from the fan.

I did the same thing....so that the fan will run as long as the amps are on, and it will turn off when they are powered down.

What if I want to wire 2 fans for one amp can I wire them both to the same relay and would there be any need for a fuse??

fuses are always a good thing. I believe the relay should be able to handle both fans. THere is no way they pull more amps than the relay is rated for.
