Alright, I'm lookin at gettin one Brahma twelve to put in the well in my 91 RS. Total Airspace in the box should be about 1 cubic foot sealed, maybe a little bit more. My problem is what amp to push it with. I've heard some good things about the JBL1200.1, and it looks like a great deal for the price. However, I want to make sure I'm making a good choice before I throw down over $700 for a one sub setup. I'm looking for a mix of SQ and SPL, and my mind is already made up on the Brahma. So if you have any suggestions on an affordable amp for me, or a different choice in boxes, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

 

jjshep, I have two 12" brahmas in my camaro. Right now i only have one of them hooked up with 500rms and it sounds amazing, Great SQ and SPL from just one 12. I have each brahma in 1 cubic foot sealed box. My amp is a US Amps 2000x, i'd recommend this amp for 2 brahmas. For one brahma i'd look at the US Amps 1000. It puts out 1000rms bridged into 2 ohms. Which would be around what you need. I think the Us Amps 1000 go for around 400 on ebay. The JBL1200.1 would work but i know my friend blew 2 of them in his car, so i'm not too fond of jbl. Anyway, i'd put your brahma in a 1 cubic foot sealed box, and give it around 600-800rms and you'll love it.
