Sound Problem

Lately...when I turn on my deck you can actually hear the thumping of the bass in accordance to the CD Player moving....like you can hear the motion of it on my 12" JBL Sub.... It's very annoying. Also, when I turn up my music really loud, it hits then just stays hitting...like my sub just continues vibrating loudly after it hits...so I have to turn the cd player off every time to stop the loud noice. When I turn it off, the sub makes a loud THUMP. I can't play my music loud anymore

Well when I took my car to get the wiring fixed today....They said that they think my "coil" is burned out on my sub.....whatever that means. I don't really trust these people, I think they just want my $...

Has this ever happened to anyone before? Any Ideas? Thanks

i would test it by "renting" a sub,go out and buy one,put it in,and if that doesnt fix it ,return the sub and go from there.ive never had that problem happen to me.but i usually by the same speakers, put the old ones back in the box and return them about every 9 months.

Check all of your grounds specifically the amp. I doubt its your speaker.
