anyone fiberglass behind the 6x9s in the sails??? is it a good plan?

anyone fiberglass behind the 6x9s in the sails??? is it a good plan?

Someone metioned fiberglassing the foam boxes and filling in the holes in it on my old tread....has anyone does this and had good results or bad even????
Heres the big question i was thinking of tho:
should i apply good coating on the inside and outside of them?
OR
should I apply double the amounts of coats on just the outside utilaizeing the foam deadener material for the inside of the enclosure?
