Alpine or JL?!
Alpine or JL?!
Need quick advice, guys!
My friends going to sell me a pair of Alpine Type R "12's in a boc for 150-200 bucks. OR, I can get a pair of JL Audio ones for the same price range.
Keep in mind, I have a Kenwood 350W amp, and I know it's not powerful enough to run both, but I'm almost temped to buy them and get a better amp later to run them. This is a damn good deal.

While they are both good of course, I think the JL's may be a little better as far as subs go. Alpine has the best head units, and some pretty darn good speakers too, but from what I hear JL is a better sub manufacturer.
But that's just from what I've heard, I'd like to see what others say....

which JL subs, if they are W0s, then i would get the alpines, if they are w3 or old w6V1s then i would pick those up, and your amp wont come CLOSE to pushing those things.
p.s. i think eclipse makes better head units than alpine.

yeah it really depends on which model the jl's are, like he said the alpine r's are nice subs, better than the lower line of jl's.
