recommended volume of sealed box question
i just bought two 10" pioneer subs and got a box for them for free at circuit city. anyway, the subs say the recommended sealed box volume be 1.0 cubic feet +-10%. The box that i got for them has an internal volume of .75 cubic feet in each chamber. will these still sound good despite the difference in volume or should i try to fix the problem somehow? i suppose i could mount them inverted or build a bigger box, but id rather just use the box i have. i also heard theres some sort of polyfill or something like that that you could put on the inside of the box that would make it perform as if it was in a bigger box. what do you guys recommend?

That sounds about right.....The Q logic boxes are the same way. My Infinity Perfect 12's require 1.0 each and the Q logic box was measured at .85 ft. I got the box free with one of the subs (bought the other from ebay for about 100 dollars cheaper) and it sounded pretty good actually. Get the foam inserts (looks like insulation for your house....Just smaller
) and that should put you where you want. The inserts do work by the way.
