What 4x6's fit later Camaros (92)?

I've read a lot of "what will fit" threads, but there seems to be some disagreement and a few too many variations on 4x6 hole size.

Who all has a later Camaro and what do you have and know will fit? Thanks a lot.

anything fits if you equip yourself with a heat gun and a dremmel.

Well I'd like to retain my heating vents' functionality. Anybody else?

I don't recall stating otherwise. That's why I suggested a heat gun and a dremmel instead of a hatchet and a sawz-all.

I guess I don't know how to accomplish this then.

There's a step-by-step article in the tech section of this website.

I think the biggest speaker I have seen in the dash of a late third gen fbody is a 5x7.

However, this did require the person to do some cutting of the casing around the guage cluster. I don't recall seeing any cuts in the vent-work.

However, there is a good point in the drummel/heat gun theory.

Not to cut away vent-work, but rather to create a custom speaker location or size with the chance of actually making it look stockish.

As said before, with a little work, you can fit pretty much anything in. It is just a matter of what you are willing to remove or sacrifice to accomplish that.
