Can I still get these? and what wire to run
Well, I am doing a ground up restoration on my 88 convertible. I am running all new wires from the fuse block throughout the car. Anyway my stereo was stolen from the car a long time ago and all of my wires were cut. I need to find a wiring diagram so that I can rerun all of the wires and/or I need to pick up a stock one. I am going to run one step bigger wire than stock on everything all of my connections will be correct and I use heat shrink of everything. Any help in this area?
Also side note. It's been four years since I have setup my old stereo. Is monster wire still the stuff to run? Is there something better? The entire car is being dynamatted, so I am sparing no expense and doing this right from step one.
Thanks,
James

well, if you really want to do a nice job:
run a wire dirctly from the battery POS, fused at the battery.....this will be your BATT or MEM 12v wire.
the ACC 12v is already there, more than likely, just test for it.
grind down a small bare metal spot on the top of the transmission tunnel, then ground the HU there with a loop terminal and star washer (most HUs come with this already on the black ground wire)
the speaker wire pairs are similar colors, light and dark. you can tet these or just run new seaker wires.
that's all you need for the sound, unless you want to use a power antenna and the dimmer function.
as long as you don't use cheap radio shack wire, you should be fine. any soft oxygen free copper and good shielded wire will work.
