Anyone knows where I can find new stock ones or even the ohms of the stock ones.
It’s a 99-z28 monsoon stereo package.
thanks

I've been told that they are 8 ohm... and also they are EXPENSIVE! I believe that they are 5 1/4 in the front, and 4 for the midbass in the middle, and in the rear another 4 incher... really nice sound system, you don't even need a sub unless you want to bass out the neighborhood.

there 2 ohm speakers. and the fronts are 6.5 components, side panels i believe are 6.5 mid ranges or subs i cant remember, and the hatch speakers are 4 inch components. they are pretty hard to find cause everyone always blows theirs. but ebay.com would be your best bet. or www.camaroz28.com or ls1.com

and the speakers aren't gonna sound good at all unless you get the factory amp too. it would be easier to just put in a high quality, head unit, amp, component speakers system. maybe even cheaper too.

does the year matter? because I know for sure that the middle speakers are 4's... and also the stock amplifier works perfectly fine with aftermarket headunit... my friend has a 2000 camaro monsoon system...

i am gonna have to stick with my original statement of the middle ones in the sail panels being 6.5 inch midrange. yeah an after market head unit will work fine with the stock amp. i have a 1994 camaro z28 and i ahve the bose stereo and its 6.5 and my buddy has a 2000 or so formula wiht the monsoon and it has 6.5 in the sail panels. just check today to be sure.

that's funny, the dealer must have switched the speakers... but either way they sound damned nice

The Camaro and Firebird both had different Monsoon systems and different numbers of speakers, at least from what I have read over on the ls1tech board in their car audio section.
However, I wouldn't think it is worth it to get a 4th gen system. My GTA which has kick panel speakers, a Pioneer 1.5 din HU, and a 12 inch subwoofer sounds a whole lot better then my 2000 TA w/ the full Monsoon system with 4 speakers in the doors, two 6.5 midrange, and two 6 inch subwoofers.

true, but they still sound nice, the best factory system I've ever heard, but I've never heard a factory bose system.
