Well I got my new battery and sexah chrome 140amp alt. Well the alt is off to get hacked for more output. Gut said I should see 170-190amps out of it after the rebuild. That with my 1200CCA Orbital Xtreme Duty deep cycle bat should solve the issue. I am thinking of getting one of those battery iscolators and running the 600amp for my cars core compoents and using the 1200 as a battery to power the rest of the stuff.

2 quick things to add to this...
1) Ground loops are bad Bad BAD, so when you upgrade your "big3", be sure all of your grounds go to the SAME frame screw. Anybody who knows anything about electricity will agree with me here. Ground loops can disrupt the weak PCM analog reference voltages, which can lead to inaccurate sensor readings. And you all should know that ground loops in audio systems are terrible...
2) Deep cycle batteries are for RV's and trolling motors... Don't waste your $$$ putting one into your daily driver. Get yourself a good quality automotive battery with high CCA #'s.

ROBSGTA.....
your funny man! you crack me up, please keep posting.
sure a cap will 'stiffen' the voltage in a power supply.....which is what the car really is to me, one big power supply.
There has to be power in to get power out...
So can I ask you, where is the cap getting it's power from?
I liked the post about a cap holding about 1000 watts worth of power LOL....1k watt alright.....sure...
Smart cap? no, just a cap. The 'smart circuitry' is a cheap digital voltmeter that can sometimes short the cap and make it useless.
