Deck - Subs problem

Scotty11302: something wierd is going on with my cd player and or subs
Scotty11302: when i turn the volume up, around 5 seconds later my subs just go nuts
Scotty11302: louder than they have ever been, just a constant long bass note
Scotty11302: i was crimping the wires together, so i've been fiddling with them, which may have caused a problem somewhere
Scotty11302: when the subs go nuts until i turn down the volume
Scotty11302: and the freakage of the subs doesnt end till i take the volume to 0
Scotty11302: then it just stops and acts semi normal

i copyed and pasted this from an aim convo

I'm at a total blank with whats going on here.

Feel free to input your opinion.

Ditto, pay close attention to the ground at the amp.
