Does the dome light work? Horn? Did you cut the fuse off of the pioneer constant wire? Check the fuses above and see what happens. Jered

No, the 10A fuse in the back of the unit is on the constant, not switched. So there is no need to add one, it will do nothing for you but take-up space and time. The only Pioneers that came with the inline fuse didn’t have the fuse in the back of the radio (different harness). I would double check the under dash fuses, check them with a continuity tester if needed.

well maybe you fried the HU.. i would use a fuse if you dont have one already but NEEDAz said you have one. of course itll work w/o a fuse, they just protect the cirucuitry yiu can still complete the cuircuit without a fuse.. hope you didnt french fry you HU tho

dru_pe, HU is short for head unit.
If it was your 12V constant and it hit ground, the HU should be OK. That is IF the CONSTANT hit GROUND. Any thing other then that and all bets are off.
You need to get in to some trouble shooting now, get a voltmeter or a test light and check for 12V on the constant lead. If you don’t have 12V there then you need to find out why. If you do have 12V there check the 12V switched, then the ground. Let use know what you find.

What was the previous radio in there? Was it the factory radio, or another radio? I ask b/c I wonder if someone else put another fuse somewhere, before you got the car.
