how do i wire my subs
ok guys i dont have an amp right now and i have my box i made in and i have the speakers in i just wanted to hook up my speakers to hear what they sound like without and amp.
so my question is how do i wire them up without and amp and without splicing my $60 RCA's ?
any help is appriciated

Simply don't do it.
Don't use the RCA outputs to power ANY speaker...since that is not thier purpose. That's a quick way to burn out your Head Unit.
Don't power subs from the speaker outputs either, no need. I don't even like to power regular speakers from the HU, but that's just me.
If you have subs, you will need an amp anyways, so wait until you have an amp.
If you want to be sure the subs are wired correctly, you can 'pop' them with a battery, like one from a cordless drill. Momentarilly touch the - + sides to the corresponding terminals on the box, if all speakers pop out forward, then they have correct polarity.
Do not hold the battery on the speakers.....I don't even like doing this test myself, but this is how most of the installers do it.
