Need More POWER!!!

Ok, Here is the deal. Stereo competition is coming up next weekend (26th) and I am putting the TransAm in to see how I do however my current Go-Cart 500amp battery is a bit of a joke and its not quite doing the job I need it to do. I searched high and low and the largest battery I can find that will fit the tray is a 675amp battery.

I noticed that some of you out there in 3rdgen land are running larger batteries. How exactly are you mounting these bad boys in there. I want to score me a 1000amp battery which should solve the issue with the power drain on long bass pumps. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

well in my car the battery tray was begining to rust out, and the hold-down tab was gone...so i threw in a larger battery and used a hold down kit from the parts store..its just 2 small bars that go through the battery tray then one that goes across the battery itself. go to the parts store and lok for hold downs so what will work

Hmmm...your idea sounds good. I think I will try to fab a battery hold down for a larger cell.

Thanks for the advice

Problem solved. Bought me a Optima Red top. Tested at the store and it said that its boasting 1125amps so this should hold its own.
