Need help with amp install
I hooked up a 2 channel amp to my rear speakers in my camaro (6X9s), and they sound great, but the head unit doesnt recognize the rear speakers: If I set the balance to all rear, there is no sound. Basically I think the head unit thinks all 4 speakers are fronts. What did I do wrong?
I plugged the rcas from the deck to the input on the amp, then connect the speaker outs on the amp to the rear 6X9s, so the speaker wires for the rears are just cut off hanging from the deck.
any help is apprecitated!
Thanks

Did you plug the amp into the rear output RCA's? It sounds like you plugged them into the front outputs.
Next question would be, how many output's do you have on the back of the HU..

if your head unit only has 1 set of rca pre-outs, they may be designed to fade with the fronts. If it bothers you that much, you could always power your front speakers out of the rear outputs of the head unit. You'll have your fader back, but it'll just be backwards in terms of front to back.
