Re: Where do you buy your audio components online?

50 posts & nobody suggested Amazon.com? I haven't ordered any audio there, but from little I have I've hadn nothing but good experiences including returns where my $ was promptly refunded.

The head unit I was looking at was about 60% off the retail prices I found.

Try www.sonicelectronix.com I made an entire system, head unit, all the speakers, and amp+sub+box all for under a grand. And it pounds real hard too :P

Re: Where do you buy your audio components online?

The Home Boy Shopping Network...
Same time... Different Corner

Jk...

I check web sites, Amazon, Ebay, go thorugh Google Shopper (I found a set of the last MB Quarts actually made in Germany that way)....

Be leery of super cheap places WITH NO PHONE NUMBERS to contact someone with...
You can order and never get any info, or 2 weeks later, just have the order canceled by them... A warranty is great... From the Seller, Manufacture (some of the un authorized sellers, you get no manufacture warranty)... or www.squaretrade.com An online place that will either repair, or give you your paid price back. You can often find 20% coupons online and if you sign up with them, they often email you 30% ones too...

& last bit of advice... be very careful when screwing in the speakers.... making it ported (through the surround) doesn't make it sound better

Re: Where do you buy your audio components online?

Once you know what you want www.thefind.com can help you find it at the lowest price. For better results it's better to be specific on part or model numbers.

I've had really good luck with Crutchfield. they may not be the cheapest, but the customer service is incredible and you can catch some good deals if you keep checking their site for sales and specials. Also the install kits ave very complete and look good.

I agree with the above post. Last month, I bought Boston Acoustic 6x9 speakers for less than half the retail price and they shipped free! Check out the 'specials' tab top right on their page.

I just ordered a set of Pioneer 4" x 6" 200W 3-ways and 6" x 9" 600W 5-ways from them...all for $116.85. No tax, free shipping. You can't beat that kind of power for that kind of price.

I haven't gotten them yet; they're supposed to be here on Tuesday, but so far the experience has been good: very quick (auto-generated)responses, and the speakers shipped the day I ordered them.

I'll find out if it's all too good to be true on Tuesday.

Re: Where do you buy your audio components online?

I know this is old thread, but I buy from Crutchfield. Bought my Kenwood for the Bird from there. Good service and they give you the parts to need to hook what you buy up to your car and have thorough instructions with diagrams for your particular car. And you don't have to worry about them selling refurbished items as new, like some unscrupulous web retailers.

Re: Where do you buy your audio components online?

A lot of the items listed on Amazon are sold by individuals and business and not stocked at the Amazon warehouse, so you have to check out their feedback ratings carefully, like you should if they were an Ebay seller.

Throwing a vote in for these guys as well. They were out of a head unit I had ordered and instead of canceling the order, or causing delays they simply upgraded me to the next model up for free.

Re: Where do you buy your audio components online?

Just picked up my JL Audio XD600/6 from Onlinecarstereo.com.

Great price and fast shipping.

Just be aware that they are NOT an authorized JL Audio distributor so the stickers will be missing from the amp and box.

Re: Where do you buy your audio components online?

Ebay has the best deals I've found, as long as you have the mental capacity to filter your search results and actually put some effort into it. I just bought a new pair of Pioneer 6x9's off ebay and paid $44.99. The exact same speakers are $69.99 at Walmart and $79.99 on crutchfield. Ebay is the best place to buy a lot of things, lots of sellers to choose from and much cheaper than any store, all you have to do is sort by lowest price first, Crutchfield seems to be the most expensive.

Re: Where do you buy your audio components online?

That's because crutchfield is authorized.. so they have to stick around map pricing. Subwoofers I order from the manufacturers, knukonceptz wiring/accessory, sonic or ebay head units. I don't buy speakers online, as they are to subjective to purchase unheard. (And ive no plans of ditching my utopia be's.)

Deadener, it depends. Several goods ones to choose from.

Re: Where do you buy your audio components online?

This is an old post, but figured good place to update. In addition to Camaro/Firebird double din & single din bezels we also have several radios, speakers, amplifiers and install products choose from. Since all we sell is Camaro/Firebird related parts we can also let you know how well the product will fit in your 3rd gen. On our double din radios we have fit information below the description to let you know if it's an easy install or more involved. We also have several Youtube videos showing the install on several of the products.
