Online car audio stores

Well another thread mentioned ikesound.com and i went there and was at their prices compared to crutchfield. Did you know you could buy two infinty perfect components for the price of one from crutchfield nope its true. Well I was wondering if their were any other stores out there you guys recommend.

Oh and a second question what do you guys feel about this amp. Profile California 600SX. I have a proflile clarus 4 channel and its been great. Want to use this as my sub amp only.

Whenever you consider an online vendor, do your homework. Do a google search, and go to www.audiosurvey.com. Read as many consumer reviews about the place as possible. There are plenty of legit businesses that sell over the Internet at dirt-cheap prices, but there are also a ton of businesses that at best have very poor customer service, and at worst are outright scam artists.

I also urge people to really evaluate a few things, including your skill level, your level of audio knowledge and your tolerance for dealing with idiots. You can save a lot of money buying over the Internet, but there are some significant advantages when buying locally... especially if you aren't an audio expert. When you go to a local shop, you pay for more than just their product. You're paying for their knowledge, their advice, and also their service. You're on your own when you buy online. Just remember that. Buying locally allows you to "test drive" the product before you buy it, as well as get the advice of the sales guy. You can feel more confident that you're getting what you need. If you have any kind of installation questions/problems, they'll help you. If it breaks, they'll replace/repair it. Sometimes the additional cost is worth it.

Also consider that a lot of brands (Alpine comes to mind) will not warranty stuff that isn't purchased from an authorized dealer (i.e. no online vendors).

I got a pair of infinity Kappa 2-ways at SavingLots.com for $120, but shipping takes longer than they say it does, there are some pretty good deals there though.

I had a profile about 4 years ago pushing an 8" Kicker impulse and I never had a single problem with it.

Funny... that amp looks just like a SoundStorm Labs amp with different heatsinks. A 3-year old amp model that they don't make anymore. I'd look elsewhere.
