No sound from CD player!

I've got an Alpine CDA 7941 and the CD player portion isn't working. When I have the tuner section on it plays fine but when I switch to CD there's no sound. It's tracking the disc and showing the play time and I can hear the thing working but it's not playing the music. Any thoughts before I either send it to the shop or junk it?

Did it work or have you changed the wiring at all? Are you amping all of you speaker or using the internal HUs amp. Some HUs have a separate output for the amp remote and ant. remote. The ant. remote will have 12V with the tuner but not the CD.

Iscrewed up in the wiring. My previous CD used the antenna lead to turn on the amps and this Alpine has a seperate lead just for the amps. When I was switching to CD the amps were being cut off. A quick reconnect and all is well. Glad to have an Alpine again.
