OK so I built my first sub box
In the rear well, Props to all you guys that do your own. Took me all day though.
Overall I'm looking for SQ, I want some Bass punch, but am not into letting everyone in the neighborhood hear my THOOM, THOOM, THOOM,.
Mostly Metal and rock,
"no way man, I'm a rocker, check this out my favorite bands, Def Lep, Skynyrd, Van Halen, not Van Hagar!"
Right now, I've got some cheappie 10's SVC's, and it's OK. My buddy is bringing in some DVC 10's that should be a little tighter, and better quality. I have yet to seal up the box and add foam or batting.

UPDATE:
Last night I installed the new 10's (the previous night I sealed the box and installed egg carton foam).
WOW!! It hits pretty damn good!!!
I was very pleased for my first venture, I hadn't figured up the volume of the box or anything, but I must admit it does a good job. I set my amp crossover to 80 and adjusted my HU (Pioneer DEH 3400)
Now to rebuild my 6x9's for the rear pillars (the foam is degraded)

Looks good you ought to find a better place for that amp though, you can hav echeap speakers as long as teh box is built right it can sound real nice, did you box it in all the way or is it open on the bottom? Nice crazy those 15's i've been contemplatign for awhile ditching my 12's and getting some nice 15's with a memphis amp, nice setup.
Warn you kevin stereo and box building gets very addictive especially if one you build hits real nice, i love doing them now this is my 2nd one and it gets better, about to start on a box for teh back of my buddies crustang for his 12's with a hidden amp and diamond plate accents.

and no smart *** comments either!!!
I had a hard time with that and really didn't plan ahead when I cut the holes. I really like some of the clean installs on this board,... how do you hide those wires??
Yeah they're cheappies, but they sound phenomenal!!! as I mentioned earlier, I didn't measure the volume or anything, I just knew where I wanted it to sit, and started measuring and cutting.
Yes it's a complete box, 3/4 " mdf, sealed and lined with "egg carton" foam

Amp... could go in the side compartment. Driver's side. Mine couldn't really get much closer of a fit, but I think it's a little larger size than yours looks to be... with mine, all I had to do is put foam around it, very snug-like... doesn't move and it doesn't vibrate like it would if it was bolted to a piece of metal. Just an idea.

I have a 2x1/4" piece of steel i bent to fit the contour from my box to the top of the shelf and then tigged a thin steel plate to it to mount my amp to, the mounting pad is covered in leather so i get no vibration or rattles tehn i ran the wiring right along side of the metal and covered it in carpet so its all hidden, plus where the amp is mounted to the box the way i have it the whole assembly comes out fairly easy with just disconecting the power and rca's at teh amp, you can probaly do a search for my name in here and find a few pics of it.
