HU is cutting out

HU is cutting out

ok guys ive posted about this before but not sure if any helpful info was provide andyways here is the problem my HU keeps cutting out when i go over bump and what not and stays out for quite some times sometimes weeks,days, minutes and then comes back to life and is just as unpredictable as to when it goues out. so is this a faulty HU or is it a bad ground or power wire problem the guy that hooked it up spliced the wire of the harness it looks as if he used the right wires but maybe the old ground wire is bad. im lost please help if you know what might be causing this

Axle/Gears: it's part of the transmission
Do this:

remove the radio. insulate all of the speaker wires and antenna wire.

connect directly to the battery, be careful not to spark anything.

twist the yellow and red together (positive)

connect the black to ground.

If the radio lights up, you have a wiring problem....if it does not light up, throw it in the trash.

To remedy the wiring problem, run a wire directly from the battery and splice into an ACC circuit, best to get this from under the column or the fuse box, ground the HU directly to the chassis.

Try using a real harness, not just hacking up a factory harness. If you dislike the factory wiring this much...just re-wire it completely.
