When I redo my stereo system, I plan on getting one 12" Brahma for the low end. My question is, and yes I did search but came up short, where would the best place to mount the sub be? I am looking to get great SQ and some very impressive SPL. I want to kind of hide the sub, but isn't a stealth box rather ineffecient since the sound waves are traveling perpendicular to the direction of the listener? What is the best place to mount one rather large(mass) sub for a killer sound stage? I used to have two 12'' mounted in a regular box facing up...but it just looks like sound wave cancellation would come into play. If any of you guys have some pictures of your setups, especially you Brahma owners, and the results of the sound stage, please let me know. Just looking for some ideas before I start thinking about fabbing up a box.

 

anyone? Just looking for some mounting locations that get the most sound waves to the listener with the least interferance and cancellation in the bass.

 

With the size of the cabin in a third gen you should be able to put the sub anywhere in the trunk with out cancelation issues.

 

with most subbass frequencies, cancellation isn't much of an issue in cars.

 

So I shouldn't worry about bass cancellation at all? I was just wondering because I recently learned about how waves and different frequencies actually work and react so I thought this would be an issue. I guess I'll just try out different box locations and see which I like best...thanks for the input.
