flipout tv mounting in center a/c vent

Has anyone sucessfully mounted a flip out tv/monitor in the center a/c vents in a camaro?

I ask cause I can get a really good deal on an in the box alpine unit and it seems like it would be the perfect viewing location for nav.

pics?

I think you should put the headunit in the center vents and the flipout in the stock location. That's what I may do.

it's pretty easy to mount any single DIN head unit in the center vent area. This would include those fold-out jobbers. I decided against this route because I wanted something more custom than a fold out LCD, plus I didn't want the LCD that high. Not only is it a distraction when it's that high (yes, I use mine while I'm driving), but it's too easily seen from outside the vehicle. Where I put mine provides good visibility even during the day because the dash shades it, and it's not directly in your line of sight while you're driving. It's also not visible from police cars unless they are directly behind me.
