My Sub Box
My Sub Box
Hey guys, I just finished my box, and I thought you might want to check it out. I built and carpeted it all myself. Its fairly run-of-the-mill, but I think my recessed amp sets it out a little and adds some diversity.
This completes my system of two alpine 4x6's, 6x9's, an alpine HU, and the 12"sub. It sounds beautiful. I took these pictures at night, so the quality and composition isn't stellar, but I'll post more/better tommorrow.
Without any further ado:

Thanks guys, that is exactly the look I was going for. I promised you some better pics from the day, so here is one for you, it shows how the box matches the car a little better than those night shots with a flash did.
Everything, and I mean everything, on the back exterior of my car rattles. But there is only one prominant rattle that you can hear inside the car, and it isn't bad at all. Basically, my car sounds very clean on the inside, and like its going to fall apart from the outside.

one reason why I hated having a system in my old t/a was the excessive rattling from the stereo and potholes did it too. It does look very nice though. You could prolly do that for people on this site for money!
My question is.. Why not go for the type-R sub you can get em pretty darn cheap on ebay. The amps are a little expensive but thats what you get for trying to match everything huh....

I hear good stuff about the type R's, but since he already has the type s, then there's nothing he can do... plus apline makes good stuff all around

I really like the recessed amp mount. The carpet also looks very nice and clean even at the corners and edges.
