What is the best thickness to use?? I went to Home Depot the other day and all they had was 3/4". Is this good or should I go with something thicker? Also are there different qualities of MDF or are they pretty much all made to the same standards? The sheet they had at Home Depot went for about 25 bucks but I've heard others mention in the past that a sheet cost around $50.

1/2 - 3/4 is perfect. Also as far as i know its all made about the same. Dont think theres really a better quality of MDF.

depends which model sub you use....often if you have high powered subs its good to double up on the thickness.
make sure the box is heavily braced anyway
