HU install/question
I did some searches but didnt see anything covering this(mainly cause im dumb and this isnt a hard question im sure)
Got my new JVC kd-sc500 and it had a free install but futureshop screwed me around(no surprise)
I am going to do the install myself but wanna make sure this is what i need
I am told I need a wiring harness, antenna adapter and obviously a indash kit.
The radio in it is a 94 pontiac delco cd/am/fm player i guess from a firebird
But i was wondering if those 3 items are if the stock radio is in the car or for this older cd player in it.

If anyone could give me some info as quick as possible...im reading and reading away so im ready to do this install tomorrow!
(also to prove to some ppl that i can do it) they doubt me!

ok what you need is a install kit for your model of car as well as the harness it makes it super easy and is only 15$ also the entenna adapter is a must in most cases as well. you will need some little red tube type crimp conectors as well if you want it to be perfect some shrink tubing and the usual tools and you will be on your way faster then a fat kid on a smarty
ok...
Is that a shot at me?
Im kind of overweight....ahah jk
thanks and by an indash kit i mean a installation kit but thanks for clearing it up for me...i have shrink tubing and blue crimp tubes not reds...should i buy some reds?

you don't nessasarily need reds altho for the smaller gauges of wire they do work better altho you might be able to get away with the blues also some people do not use the crimps they solder the connection then shrink tube altho i find this a hassel and an un needed step when you are just a hobbiest

solder is the best connection I would say and its highly unlikely itll disconnect on you unlike some of the crimp ones...At home depot they have a cordless solder tool too!
Anyway...Installing a head unit it pretty easy. Good luck..
