Can you run speaker wires next to your main power wire?

Just curious. I will be running some kick panel pods and the speaker wires will go underneath the threshold trim, probably right next to my power wire. Now, I know that you aren't supposed to run the RCA's next to your power wire because of noise interference. Will the same thing happen if I run the speaker wires right next to the power wire? Thanks in advance for any replies to this thread.

You'll be OK with speaker wire, not RCAs (but you know that).

Whether or not running your power wire next to your RCAs can be debated forever. Sometimes it causes problems, most of the time it doesn't. However, running your speaker wire near your power wire should never cause a problem.

only wires that you need to keep seperate are the power and rca.
run power down one side of the car, and rca's down the other side.

I ran my power and RCA's down the same side on my 2 previous cars and my moms car.. never had a problem, not saying it doesnt happen but it didnt happen to me. I wouldnt worry about the speaker wires being next to the power..

You can run them next to each other.

The expensive twisted pair speaker wire cracks me up.
