Has anyone ever heard of or used Exide Select Orbital XCD deep cycle battery? They claim to be comparable to Optima Yellow Top, but at half the price. I'm looking for a better battery to accommodate my sound system. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Last I checked, they were only about $20 cheaper...
you can get the Optima YellowTop from Autozone, (34/78--for our cars,) for about $150
I saw the equivalent Orbital battery for about $130... but since I've never heard of them, I decided against the purchase...
With my old duralast 660 CCA 34/78 I could play my stereo on a moderate setting for about 1.5 hours... with my new deep cycle battery it takes about 5-6 hours to accomplish the same drain... then when I recharge it, there is no harm to the battery... a good investment for me, at least.
