kenwood problem
a couple days ago i bought a kenwood excelon x589 the second day i had it it sometimes wouldnt eject the cds all the way and sometimes not at all i can hear it trying to but the cd doesnt come out then today i pushed eject and it tried to eject but it didnt come out but the face went back up and it went to standby, it didnt know there was a cd in there and wouldnt eject so i put another cd part way in and it found that there was a cd in it and i was able to get it to come out. why doesnt it eject my cds and should i take it back?
also it seems to get really really hot like my cds come out real hot and today i took it out of the dash and the cd player was so hot i couldnt really leave my hand on it
thanks for the help

Sounds like the chucking slider, depending on the mech. If the radio is new, take it back. Kenwood insists this failure should only happen in shipping. They also have problems with optical pickup springs getting weak, TSB on that one.

any kenwood deck i have ever had was a piece of junk. the one my bro has in his pickup is a lower end model and is about two years old, he pulls the cd's out with a pair if needle nose pliars because it won't eject.
my kenwood vacume cleaner works well.
if it was me i would return that and get a brand that does not have such a high rate of falure. i have never heard of anyone happy with kenwood decks. however i also don't know anyone who has spent more then 250$ on a deck.
