Anyone with an 8" sub setup?

I'd like to know if anyone is running a nice setup with one or more 8" subs. Pictures are always welcome.

I just got done installing 2 9Kv2s (8" subs) in my camaro in a ported box. I haven't had it metered or anything but it's loud enough to suit my needs. Building the box was a pain I have a feeling I will be rebuilding it to make it look better than it does now, but im happy with the trial run so far

I had 4 Orion XTR 8" subs in a sealed box running off an Alpine amp runing at 160 watts bridged mono (I think) in my Firebird 13 years ago and it hit 128db. Wasn't as much thump as the 10's or 12's but it was tight and hit you hard.

i just got my audiobahn 8" sub tube that was already amps w 100watts rms. I installed it and it is barely noticeable and fits perfectly in the back with no problems and comes with all wiring that u will need. I installed it yesterday and it sounds great and hits hard which i didnt expect.

Does anyone know if you can fit 8" subs in the 6X9 spot, in a TA? I have a set JL 10s that are going in the back and I wanted to use a set of 8s for mids. Im not sure but I may then get Kick pannels and put in a component system with 6 1/2s in the front.

You can but it would take ALOT of work to get the sails sealed up. Plus alot of fab work to get them to fit.

Yeah it is better to have 6 1/2s up front. There isnt any use in putting 8s back there.....More hassle then what it is worth. I have heard of putting 6 1/2s and 5 /14s in the front. 6 1/2s in the door...and 5 1/4 in the kick pannels. You will need to fab both but for your mids I hear that is a pretty good set up.

there's a guy on ca.com with a wall of 18 re8's in a van, (forgot his name but i know he competes with it)

p.s. also look at the soundsplinter rli-8's, they'll walk all over the re8's (and they're like 100 bucks more) but they're supposed to be the best 8's on the market..........
