Amp Help

Alright guys, i just installed my new amp earlier today (or yesterday as it is almost 2:00am here) anyways...i got the new Alpine MRV-F545 to power my front and rear speakers. I hooked it up with a 4 gauge wiring kit. the amp is a 500+RMS amp (it is 125 RMS per channel) i have it hooked up right now currently with the 4 gauge wire till i can get my cap in the mail to hook it up with that to run off to the 4 channel amp, and then my mono for my subs. But right now i am having a problem. I'll be drivin, then my amp will shut off, and they the LED screen thing will show the code for excesive current. Any ideas to fix this? should i up the Hz to it? my speakers are rated at 60 RMS for the fronts and 100 for the rears

G0d, more Alpine stuff. Check the speaker connection. Check that they are tight and have NO exposed wire. Then check the resistance of the speakers. If all is OK there, take the amp back.

I repair car audio product. This year Alpine dropped the ball, quality is in the toilet. Manufacturing problems, engineering problems, quality control problems. I can't believe how fast they went to the dark side. Still good sound in all honesty. Sorry...
