got my speakers in

okay fellas just letting u know i just got my brand new kicker 12 l7 dual 2 ohm subs in today... now all i gotta do is build a new box top and probably put a divider in the middle cause ive heard mixed reviews of if a divider is needed. then run the power wire off my cap for my amps for mids and highs and ill be back in buisness. ill get pics of it all once i get my amp box built in a week or so.

Assuming you're wiring in mono the only thing the divider will do is cost you air space. When one sub is compressing air, the other will be doing the exact same thing so the wall wont matter. The only time it would matter is if the subs will be following diffrent paths (ie wired in stereo, hooked to amps with diffrent outputs, or wired wrong).

nope ill be wiring them in paralell to the same amp (mtx 81000d amp) should come out to be a lil less than 1 ohm load...if they dont like it i will have to wire them in series to about a 2 ohm load.

When I was talking about messing up wiring, the only way you could do so is if both subs are DVC and one is wired in series and the other is in parallel. That or they're out of phase because a + and - are switched. Again, you don't need the wall if they are wired the same and in mono.
