Well did you buy the warenty they offer when you bought the deck? Even if you didn't just fight them a bit and start making people aware of your complaints like when your talking to the audio tech dont be quite by any means but dont start bein an a$$ yet there fairly decent with that kind of thing....by the way i really like that deck i almost got one but the tech at visions said there was problems with the motor for the face dieing and stuff like that so i decided against it
goodluck

This is a good example why going with a name brand head unit for the same price, even if it's got less bells and whistles, is a smart decision.

Dual came out to fill the gap left by Jensen when they were dissolved.

Low end deck with a bad ribbon cable to the faceplate. If you've only had it for three mount it's still under warranty, take it back, if you get the same one, you'll have the same problem sooner or later.

When it comes to head units, you really get what you pay for. Hope you go the warranty with it.

Jensen isn't completely out of business, but the "Jensen" brand as it used to exist is. Jensen folded a couple few years ago, and somebody else bought the Jensen name, and is now using it to make even cheaper crap than they used to make (which is why I think Circuit City and Best Buy dumped them).

However, if memory serves me, the Dual junk comes from the same chinese factories that the old Jensen stuff used to come from.

Circuit City still carries Jensen, and as much as I hate to admit it, they make decent (I didn't say good) mobile video products. I've never seen anything from Dual that wasn't complete crap.

i will end up keeping this amp and a new sub for a while or till i get a new car why throw something i just bought to the side , i still like it Pioneer is one of my fav brands

I used to install for Best Buy. The Dual decks are junk. I did three times more warranty swaps on Dual than any other deck. Also, it wasnt uncommon for Dual decks to be DOA right out of the box. Their basic units had enough problems, let alone one with tons of moving parts.
