New faceplate shipped!

I went with the HUMOUNT.COM faceplate. It only works with the 4th gen dash, but its good for swappers. They did an awesome job getting the older style Trans-Am logo in there. And yes the logo lights up.

I'll post more when it gets here.

Nope, they get covered by the trim ring.

That can't be very hard to adopt to a thirdgen. That's really nice.

I just looked at the website and was thinking... wouldn't the Fiero plate work? It looks like the plate I used to mount a pionier head in my Bird, just have them put the Firebird logo on it.

They're cheap enough to try. Even with all the engraving it was only $70 shipped form Canada.

if it helps anyone, i purchased one of these for my 97 gtp and i love it. they offer different lighting accents for the letters (i went with red due to the pontiac's red interior lighting). the letters are spectacularly cut and they can cut out any design you want for a small additional fee. the lettering i have matches the stock badges perfectly and i dont think i could have found such a beautiful looking kit anywhere else. top notch stuff, deffinately worth the money i spent ($60 for the stock lettering and red lumination)

I have one for the 3rd gen...

I got ahold of Mark and he had one for the 3rd gens and he didnt want to sell it unless he had it test fitted on a vehicle. He said that the ducting had to be trimmed for a stereo to fit flush. I will be putting it in this weekend.

It's probably like using any other flush-mount kit in a third-gen. It's not the heater ducts that need to be trimmed, but the rear radio mount/ console bracket. Not a hard job at all.

Let us know how it goes.
