Obvious wiring problem. Please help.
I'm getting really frustruated. I know it's some little thing I'm overlooking, and I just can't find it.
I bought a headunit recently. I installed the wiring harness and connected the wires to the headunit wires. I plugged in the headunit, and the headunit didnt work. Not only that, but the instrument panel and gearbox fuses went out. So I replaced the fuses for the instrument panel, and noticed the radio fuse was out too...So I switched that one as well. So now the fuses are both new and I assumed the radio didnt work before cause the fuse was gone (I never used the old one). So I plug the unit in again, and again it didnt work...and again, the instrument panel lights went out...Only this time, the fuse didnt blow! Guh...
Anyways, I'm positive the wires are all correct and they are not exposed...So I dont have the faintest idea what's going on. But I'm about to stomp on the head unit. haha.

Check your ground wires, i had a strange happening where first the dash lights wouldnt come on but the headlights would, then the headlights wouldnt come on and the dashlights would, Then the dash lights would come on and the headlights would be on, but the HU would be off.. It turned out that the ground i chose was a bad one, I put a ground on the tranny tunnel, and all my problems went away.

Alright I'll take a look. Yeah, the headlights come on, but the dash and gearbox wont. Thanks a lot.
