You mean you pulled the cloth cover and there's no speaker holes? Or are there 4x6's and 4" woofers back there?

Either way you can unbolt the plate that's over the speaker hole, go out and buy some sheet metal/wood, cut a hole for the 4x6, and install them that way.

Welcome to the board btw

I don't have any sopts for the speakers either, I'm going to get boxes to put them on the rear shelf. Like a sub box, but smaller. I know summit sells some.

if theres no holes in the sail panel plasic then id cut some out and then you should see the metal where gm puts the metal plates in for the 6x9s then you can make one out of mdf or get some stock ones from somewere and put them in yourself....any option gm del. is pretty easy to install.

heres a pics of my car with my speaker mounting plates removed and stuff in this tread to get a look at what your dealing with: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...d.php?t=208787

i dont have a pic of the hole youll want to have in your sail panel plastic but im sure youll find one easy on ebay or the above sponsor links in parts for sale.

I think that’s what my car was like before the previous owner cut 6x9” holes in the panel and put plywood behind it so he could screw the speaker in. I am going redo the whole thing and make a custom fiberglass panel to weir the speaker is molded in the panel and is visible. You may want to think about doing something like that if you’re into the whole custom thing and can fiberglass of cores.

weird, I've never heard of a 3rdgen w/o the 6x9 opening...

I mean, I've heard of the subwoofer setup... but not a solid wall...

is that custom or what?
