your valuable input please

Currently I have two 12" jlw1's in a sealed box in the hatch driven by a Alpine
mrv-t500 amp. Bottom line is I want more thump, my present amp no longer cuts the mustard. I walk into a car audio store and am lost at what to purchase or what I need. The budget is no more than 500 bucks, also space in a problem as I
wish to keep my amps at the bottom of the rear well I only have roughly 10x10
inches. Were kinda limited as to what the stores carry where I live, I've seen
jl,mtx, alpine, clarion, sony and rockford fosgate in the stores I've looked at. I tend to have more faith in the members here as opposed to some salesmen who is trying to make a commission off my purchase. Thanks

How does 1200 watts @ 1 ohm @ 12.5 volts (expect around 1600 watts at 14.4) strike you? What if I said it was only $350 shipped brand new? Only problem is that it doesn't fit your size constraints.

10x10 is small, especially considering that once you get it wired in you're only talking about 10x8 so that you have room for the RCAs, power, etc. Get back to us with more exact dimensions and the amount of power you want to be driving. You're going to be pretty hard pressed to find an amp that size that puts out more than 300 watts IMO.
