Amp question

If I bought a mono amp and it didnt specify that is was bridgeable, could you still bridge it and get full power and performance?

(edited for readability )

This makes more sense when you consider that most headunits are really 8 chanel amps that are bridged down to 4 IIRC.

Pretty much what everyone said already. You can't bridge it but you can run multipul subs off it. The only thing that matters is final load.

Good catch. I can do that too. Channel and multiple.
And you right on the HU. 8 single ended amps operating in BTL (Bridge Tied Load) mode for 4 outputs. No you can't bridge a HU.
