I want one of those... with the blue illumination. How do you pick what lettering you want? It shows pictures of different ones, but I see no options for exactly what lettering, just illumination, year, and some other jazz. Do you have to pay the extra $10 to have writing put on the piece?

I think standard writing is "CAMARO" to get custom lettering you must e-mail mark@humount.com And he can do anything you want. He e-mailed me back a couple of times showing me different lettering options and I picked the one pictured. The cost of any other lettering but CAMARO is 10$ on top of the 40$
As for the color I said I wanted red but was going to illuminate it myself. I went out and bought an LED bar for 10$ cheaper than they want on the web site.
Just talk to mark and he will do what you want. The service was pretty good. I think Mark is the only one who does this so if he has the day off you have to wait till he's back. I had to wait a day.
What lettering are you thinking of?

Here you go. Got the deck wired also ,but I'll put it in tommorow. And try to get some better pics. the batteries in my camara are dying.
Looks orange in the pic but believe me it's the brightest red you ever saw. I love it and it fit perfect as well, good quality. I am surprised it fit so well.

You going to have to do some trimming to get the head unit in all the way. Its not a simple bolt in piece. I know because i was the first one to do this and had to give Mark all the write ups and whatnot. It is really cool to wire it up with the headlights so they come on when you are driving at night and dim and such. Good luck, any questions dont hesitate to ask.

No, I know in the pic right above I am seeing flash from the camera.
But, in the red Iroc version above, I can see it is pretty bright. I am wondering if either the blue or the red is so bright as to be distracting or harsh on the eyes at night?

Damn!
I got really excited when I saw those pic's. Visited the website, even contacted the company and got a quote. Then I realised it would never work on my IROC.
My head-unit doesn't look like it will allow for that face plate. Too bad though. I think that's a great looking mod regardless.
Wonder if there's any other way to incorporate something like that in my car.
I love the idea....

I didn't get a chance to put it in tonite. Had to work late. Should get to it tomorrow. I haven't driven with it at nite yet but I don't think it will be distracting, if it is I can dim it cause it's wired into the dimmer for the deck. Everyones going to stare when I have the top down
Ray, what do you mean by trimming? Do you mean trimming the mount or the heater vents in behind?

WillSpeedy, Hate to clutter up the the thread but could you get some good close ups at an angel? I'm concerned about the gap between the faceplate and the mount and how much it will reveal. How bad is it?

cool looking faceplates.. I'd love to get one but I know my deck is too deep and it would never fit without a goofy looking adapter put ontop of the 'custom' panel.
anyone else have any probs?
