speaker fix

A girl at my school just got a thirdgen camaro, it's a sport coupe with t-tops.

Anyways she wants me to help her with some things, one of which is a problem she is having with her front speakers cutting out.

I was wondering, is it a connection problem, or a problem with the speaker itself? FWIW they're aftermarket speakers, replacement 4x6's for the factory ones.

yes it would be just take 6 screws in front under the dash out and 4 screws by the upper defrost vents and pull the wires prom the speaker and wrap it tight and if any wire is showing wrap it in electrical tape. That should fix it

What? Wrap it tight? Try doing it right so you don't have more problems. Get some spade terminals to crimp/solder on, get the adapter plug things, or solder the wire right to the speaker terminal.
Also, is the HU stock or aftermarket? If it's aftermarket take it out and check the wires back there.
