I am puttin MB Quart 6.5 inch component speakers in the front (6x9 in the back) and I'v been reading about how you get a better sound stage if you put the speakers in the door and the tweeter on that plastic part going up the door, I'm forgettin the name right now)


My question is should I put the tweeter at the bottom part closer to the dash or by where the window stops curving and goes straight back?


And if anyone could provide a picture of their setup with any size speakers in the doors, a component system if you have it.

THOSE PLASTIC THINGS ARE CALLED KICK PANELS PUT SPEACKERS IN THERE NOT THE DOOR. TWEETER PLACEMENT ALL DEPENDS ON IF YOU LIKE HEARING HIGHS OR BASS MORE, PUT IT FARTHER AWAY FROM YOU IF YOU DONT LIKe (sorry about the caps) the highs as much.

 

DON'T CUT YOUR DOORS UP!! I got my 91 RS with excellent door panels when I bought it 11 years ago and the second day I owned it I cut holes in them for my speakers. What a dumb A$$!! Learn how to make your own kick pods or have some made. I had my tweets on top of the console above the heater/ac controls. Sounded pretty good. New door panels will cost you a couple hundred bucks.
